Take a quick look on what's been happening so far... it's just a snapshot!

2010

June & July '10

Ok, so I've been getting a little behind on my updates so here's two months in one!

The Galway Film Fleadh was in full swing where two films that I worked on earlier in the year were premiered: Cairdeas and Seachtar na gCasca.

I also got the opportunity to work with both Disney Studios director and producer of the amazing Toy Story 3: Lee Unkrich and Darla K. Anderson. Such talented people to work with - it was an absolute pleasure.

More great news... the photoshoot I organised in Galway over the last couple of months got printed as a two-page spread in the Irish Times magazine on the very last day of the month. What a great way to end the month of July!
Big thanks to all involved: Carol Dunne (photographer), Linda Gannon Foster (hair), Georgina Vahey (stylist), Grace Connell (model, left) and Hira Shah (model, right). Fantastic crew to work with.

Also, major shout out to our amazing locations for their wonderful hospitality - The House Hotel, Galway City, Brigit's Garden and The Twelve Hotel, Barna.

Looking forward to the next one!

May '10

So, the hit TV series "The Tudors" is back on our screens with Season 4 - check it out and you'll see what I was working on last summer!
May was another busy month with lots of photoshoots, one ofthe clients being Bank Of Ireland - the results of which should be online shortly over the coming weeks... so watch this space!

April '10

Now that Spring has sprung and Summer is almost here, wedding season is in full swing... I've been working with lots and lots of beautiful brides helping them perfect their look for their wedding day.

In between trials and weddings days, I've also been busy with lots of photoshoots - including one with the lovely model Amie Dodgson (pictured right) shot in D-Light Studios in Dublin.
It was a really great day - working with three photographers on a variety of different looks for Amie... all very talented people to work with and some fantastic photos were taken...

March '10

Wow, it's hard to believe that March is over already - the year just seems to be flying. Wedding season has well and truely kicked off again so best of luck to all the brides getting married this year - I hope the weather holds for you!
In other news, I've been a busy makeup artist with a variety of photoshoots completed including magazines like Social & Personal (July '10 edition) and RSVP (July '10 edition) so keep an eye out for these in the news stands.
I have some photos from each shoot but can't post them yet or it will spoil the surprise! But soon, I promise... :) I took this photo at the recent RSVP Magazine shoot - can anyone guess where this is?
Hint: fabulous hotel in Galway!

January & February '10
2010 has already started as I hope it continues - insanely busy and loving it! Since coming back from my wonderful (well-deserved!) break in January, February has been a whole lot of fun already, working on lots of different projects including sexy, boudoir-style photo shoots with the wonderful photographer Natalie Herzer and some absolutely fabulous fresh Spring weddings with even more fabulous and beautiful brides...
Not only that, but I was hired by Paramount Pictures Ireland to help out for their press junket and red carpet European film premiere of Neil Jordan's "Ondine", starring Colin Farrell, Alicja Bachleda and Alison Barry.

2010 is looking great so far... Here's to a fab year for all of us!

2009
December '09
Well, the year wrapped up with a bang - amongst all the wonderful Christmas weddings was also the great new show with Tommy Tiernan and Hector O'Heochagain - 'Tommy and Hector's Craic House'.

We had lots of different celebrities on the show, from the famous duo themselves, Maria Doyle Kennedy (from The Commitments and The Tudor's fame), Kevin Myers, footballer Paul Galvin and more. Great to work on and of course, great craic in 'The Craic House'!
Great job lads!

November '09

November was filled with lots more travelling and fun-filled hard work... I was hired by the Irish Daily Mail newspaper to transform comedian Oliver Callan (from 2fm's Nob Nation) into no less than seven politicians and tv personalities!

They were Minister Brian Lenihan, Mary Coughlan, John O'Donoghue, Ryan Tubridy, Mary Harney, Enda Kenny and our very own Taoiseach, Brian Cowen! I worked with the amazing photographer Patrick Bolger and Saoirse Ronan's wonderful personal hair stylist and wig master Conor McAlister to help complete the transformation.

October '09
October has probably been the most varied month in the last while - I've been working on lots of different projects - filming with the great Mick Lally (Miley from Glenroe) on a Kevin Glynn short film, worked with the wonderful Tommy Fleming (pictured right) on his upcoming Christmas RTE show. Be sure to tune in between the 20th-25th December to catch it.
Plus, I also collaborated with Karma Nightclub in Galway for their two major Hallow'een events... yes, it's been a busy time for sure :)

September '09
I've been travelling throughout Ireland for most of September - and Budapest too -
for wedding bookings. It's probably been my busiest month with weddings this year. Have also been working on and off with 'The Tudors' which has just been fantastic. Looking forward to getting cracking into October as I have some interesting stuff lined up for the month so watch this space!

August '09
What a busy month... lots going on from working on some major battle scenes with 'The Tudors' (lots of prosthetics, blood, guts and gore!), some photo shoots (check out 'Ireland's Wedding Journal' - Olivia and Jonathan Schmiku's wedding), and lots of weddings it's been such a blast...

July '09
Well, I cannot believe how fast this month has flown. So, what's been going on?

Well, apart from helping lots and lots of beautiful brides prepare for their wedding day, I've been back and forth to the amazing set of 'The Tudors' in Ardmore Studios. All the costumes, hair and the actual set itself really fools you into believing you've been transported back in time to the 15th Centuary! It's hard work and totally worth it what with 6am starts but loving every minute of it.

Also, congrats to all the wonderful couples who got married this month - loved working with you all :)

June '09
Wow, it's been a really busy month so far what with weddings, photo shoots... and 'The Tudors'.

They're about to start shooting their next season (Series IV) over the next few months on the main set of Ardmore Studios near Bray so I'll be busier than usual trekking across the country to Co. Wicklow and back.

Still though, will be fabulous to meet the cast and see them in the flesh. Will let you all know how it goes.

May '09
The Volvo Ocean Race has finally hit Galway and what a celebration it's been! It's so great to see the streets lined with people - apparently there will be over 45 million euros injected into the Galway economy; much needed I say!

Also, the wedding season is well and truly in full swing so many congrats to all my brides who got married or who are getting married in May. Won't mention any names but you know who you are! Best of luck ladies xx

April '09
What a fun few days! Was shooting around the West of Ireland with a German TV crew for a popular children's programme called "Tanzalarm Kids!".
A great group of people to work with...

Wedding season has formally kicked off too  - it's going to be a busy summer!

March '09
Just back from Clare County Bridal Show in the lovely Armada Hotel in Spanish Point - it was a busy day working on Celia Holman Lee's models for the two catwalk shows.

There was a great turnout with lots of brides-to-be with their men in tow...

Lots of suppliers there also, from cakes, invitations, wedding planning, photographers and of course, makeup artists!

For recommended suppliers, see the Links page.

February '09
Just finished shooting Emmet Scanlan and What The Good Thought's latest music video 'Under The Weather' in Dublin... long, cold day but it was great fun too. See the end result here on YouTube

Emmet and his band have been doing well for themselves and got a great review of their new album 'Hands' recently in Hot Press magazine. Keep up the good work, guys!
